Yes, you read that right. A wave. A wave from the ocean to be exact. It crashed right through the window of a restaurant in Santa Barbara.
I don’t know if this is news anywhere else, but I live in Los Angeles. It’s been raining in Southern California for the past three days. A lot. Like pouring sheets of rain.
Parts of Los Angeles have been evacuated. Other parts are filled with mud from the foothills. People are getting into accidents all over the place. Bums are being swept away from their cardboard homes. The mighty L.A. River actually looks like a river. Well, outside of the banks being made of concrete, anyway.
And waves are crashing through windows.
As George Costanza once said, “The sea was angry that day, my friends. Like and old man trying to send back soup in a deli.”
So here we have your unsuspecting diners at Moby Dick Restaurant at Santa Barbara’s Stearns Wharf. They’re enjoying breakfast and watching the waves.
And holy hell!
Here’s another video from the same establishment. We’re happy to report that no one was injured. We’re also happy to report the temperatures should be back to the 80s by Wednesday, so then we can go on living our charmed lives.
