Verruckt: Footage from World’s Tallest Waterslide
The world’s tallest waterslide is now operable in that it certifiably won’t kill the humans who ride it. It’s called Verruckt and it’s in Kansas City and the Schlitterbahn water park.
The slide is 168 feet and 7 inches tall. That’s 17 stories. Speeds reportedly can reach up to 65 miles per hour. Riders go down in a very large raft.
Here’s footage of the virgin ride, which was taken by one of the engineers. Why he’s wearing cowboy boots is a whole other question for you to ponder.
That doesn’t look so bad. However, when you couple it with the fact that these rides didn’t always go so smoothly, that might make you think twice about strapping into one of these rafts.
