A thief in Germany (originally from Liverpool) stole goods from a supermarket and on the way out handed his contact details to the assistant with a note to tell her that he had stolen from there and they should contact the police.
When he police went to his house the man was there waiting. He admitted his crime and blamed the mistake on cashflow problems due to a mistake by the social services.
“You don’t come across criminals like this every day,” the spokesman said. “The man wouldn’t say why he tipped us off.”
