Friday afternoon in Los Angeles, there was some clown hanging from a sign above the 5 freeway. Naturally, this occurred around rush hour and naturally the popo decided to shut the freeway down in both directions.
So people were sitting there, stopped on the freeway for hours with nothing to do. Nothing to do except gamble!
Some dude whipped a poker table out of his ride and a bunch of random people played some Texas Hold ’Em… on the 5 freeway.
Some people, including those tasked with reporting the news, said the table was actually a pop-up taco stand. While that would have been both enterprising and delicious, it was also inaccurate.
Seems like a great way to pass the time when you’re trapped on a major freeway.
