Strivetica is a great project by David Muse, a design graduate currently working at a Cardiff design agency in the UK…
He has created a new typeface using one single piece of string wrapped around pins placed in a way to recreate the worlds most popular font.
With these allocated materials we were challenged to design and make a new typeface that represents all the characteristics of our material. In my case I wanted to show that string can wrap, tie, tangle and hang.
My resolution was created with one continual piece of string and over 300 pins placed into a cork board.
