Coming to German TV soon: The Death Channel

Ageing, Death and Dying…beamed into your house 24hrs a day from this Autumn. Nice.

Eos TV (from the Greek goddess of the dawn) will show documentaries about graveyards, tips on retirement homes, televised obituaries and how to install stair lifts to assist you in your last days.

More than 800,000 people died in Germany last year. Multiply that by
four and you have a rough estimate of the number of relatives affected.
They will be our target audience. We are convinced that Eos TV will
attract viewers.

The televised obituaries are hoped to be the most popular attraction where the viewers can pay for a “This Was Your Life” video made for their dead relatives which will feature home video and interviews with friends and families.
